Release of the 14th Paris Crane Survey

May 2010

Drivers Jonas France has published its fourteenth edition of the Paris Crane Survey.

This new edition reflects the international economic environment : there has been little take-up of new or refurbished space, with none at all in the western side of Paris. Half of the completed space, 250.000m², has been added to the empty office stocks.

Following the trend noted in our last study, the amount of space under construction has fallen back to an historic low level. On the other hand, the French sustainability certification HEQ seems to have been adopted as a norm.

Christopher Armon-Jones, President of Drivers Jonas France, commented: "This weak level of new space under construction should allow the absorption of recently completed available space. However, there will soon be a need for new office development to begin in order to be able to respond to occupiers’ requirements from 2012 on."
